Answer cards / care checks
What can I check before I pay?
A polished page is easy to make. A public licence record is something you can check yourself.
How do I check a doctor?
State medical boards publish doctor licence status and public records of action taken against them.
Ask for the doctor’s full name and the state where they are allowed to treat you. Find that state’s board, then use its licence search.
A clear public record means no public action was found; it is not a score for the quality of care.

Some states use more than one doctor board; the directory can help find the board that holds the licence.
How do I check the pharmacy?
A state board of pharmacy keeps the pharmacy licence record; FDA, the US drug agency, links to the state searches.
Ask which pharmacy prepares or dispenses the medicine. Search for that full name. Match the record to the information provided by the service.
A licence confirms a state board record exists; it does not verify how a pharmacy handles each prescription.

The state record is the check to use, rather than a badge on the sales page.
Does a licence settle the cagrilintide question?
No. In September 2026, FDA still said federal law did not allow pharmacies to mix or make their own cagrilintide medicine.
Check both things: who is offering the care and what product is being offered. A real person can still give an unclear answer.
Ask: What is the full medicine name? Is it FDA-approved? If it is offered through a study, who runs the study and how do I check my place?

Product approval and a professional licence answer different questions.
