Where can I start a care conversation?
Start with a clinic visit or a health visit over a screen or phone. Bring the drug name and ask which care fits your health.
Can this be an online visit?
Telehealth means a health visit over a screen, phone or online exchange. Think about what you need to explain and which format lets you ask your questions.
US health department guidance in September 2026 said your treating doctor or other health professional must have legal permission to practise in your state.
State rules differ on how online prescribing and assessment may work.

When does an in-person visit make sense?
Ask whether an online visit can answer your health questions, or whether a face-to-face check is needed.
Medical boards recommend that your doctor arrange any tests or examination in person needed to assess your health.

Can either route offer routine cagrilintide care?
As of September 28, 2026, cagrilintide had no US approval. Federal law did not allow pharmacies to mix or make their own cagrilintide medicine.
Use the visit to ask about care that fits your health and to check any claim that says otherwise.

What if I mean cagrilintide itself?
A clinical trial is a study in people. It is different from an online offer labelled for research.
Public records on September 28, 2026 showed people receiving cagrilintide as volunteers in studies overseen by FDA, the US drug agency.
FDA’s September 2026 rules also allowed requests for experimental treatment outside a study, called expanded access. This route is for serious illness when suitable treatments are lacking and joining a study is not possible.
ClinicalTrials.gov, the government’s public list of studies, showed no cagrilintide program for treatment outside a study on September 28, 2026.
A request for one patient may be missing from the public list. A doctor and FDA must judge whether this route could fit your situation.
Ask for the study’s reference code and look it up on ClinicalTrials.gov. Compare the study contacts with the person offering you a place.
